| Web Synergies is pleased to present its latest delivery to NVPC (the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre) - SG Cares Online Portal. SG Cares, run by NVPC , is an online portal that allows for flexible volunteering opportunities. |
| According to The Straits Times dated March 3, 2010, ever since the portal's launch last September, the number of volunteers have doubled to 3,400 and has had close to 200 activities. New members are not just merely signing up, but also actively participating in activities. About 7 in 10 of new members have taken part in the portal's activities. NVPC is also seeing an encouraging increase of volunteers in the age band of 25 - 34 (traditionally a group with lower than average volunteering rate). The initiative has also encouraged participation from time-poor professionals who still want to do their part in helping those in need. |

Ease of use: The developers were careful to ensure that usability standards were well met - with the end result being a user-friendly interface. |

Flexibility: The portal allows for volunteers / potential volunteers to customize their volunteering preferences, e.g. by means of 'location', 'date range' and 'area of interest'. This facilitates for easy assessment of choices, helping volunteers to pick the volunteering assignment that fits best. |

Scalability : Able to scale up to unlimited Automation of Activitie, volunteers, Volunteer Host Organisations effectively without any changes to architecture. |

Performance standards: Designed for most optimal performance standards such as low page loading and response times, quick access to key functions and so on. |
